UCSF Talk: UC Chicanx Latinx Alumni Association Presents "Student/Community Clinics — From Legacy to Leadership in Community Care"
Saturday April 25, 2026 2:00pm - 2:50pm PDT
University of California alumni who previously were involved in student-run clinics will come together to reflect on a legacy of community care — the enduring impact of UC’s Chicano Health Movement. Rooted in service to Latinx communities, student clinics were formative spaces where hands-on care, accountability to community, and collective leadership shaped alumni who now lead in health equity as clinicians, researchers, and advocates. Open to all Alumni Weekend attendees, this session explores how these early clinic experiences created health equity leaders — and why sustaining student/community clinics remains essential to advancing equitable care for future generations.
