About me
Mr. Carson(he/him), a third-year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) student, has served as student liaison for the UCSF LGBTQ+ Committee and held multiple student leadership roles focused on advancing cultural competency and LGBTQ+ education within the DPT curriculum. Before attending UCSF, he earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Western Michigan University, spent a decade as a paramedic, and held an adjunct faculty position in the emergency medical services program at Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Michigan. After graduation, Mr. Carson plans to further his education and continue his ongoing commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy within the health care field.
