About me
Dr. Blake is one of the nation’s leading voices on issues of dignity, access, and inclusivity in higher education. She oversees student recruitment, admissions, retention-program development, and reviews for more than 30 doctoral and master’s programs, manages 1,100 postdoctoral scholars, and oversees evidence-based curricula for faculty development, career and professional development, and training in the ethics and responsible conduct of research. Before joining UCSF, she was senior associate dean for admissions and student affairs in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at UT Health San Antonio. Dr. Blake earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She earned her doctorate in neuroscience and completed postdoctoral training at Washington University in St. Louis.
