Dr. Nguyen is a nationally recognized speaker and champion for women in leadership and the health professions. Her podcast, “Project ConfiDents,” focuses on career development, leadership, and professional identity formation in dentistry, using real-world conversations to bridge the gap between training and practice. Dr. Nguyen is a group practice leader in UCSF’s predoctoral student clinic and course director of Patient Centered Care 146: Advanced General Dentistry. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. She completed a general practice residency at Yale University. Before transitioning to a career in academia, Dr. Nguyen worked in private practice in San Diego.
