Dr. Lucey leads UCSF’s research enterprise and highly ranked academic programs. She works in close collaboration with the chancellor and leadership team to develop and implement campus priorities and vision, maintain UCSF’s status as an international leader in health sciences education and research, and oversee external partnerships representing the university’s best interests. Dr. Lucey previously served as vice dean for education and executive vice dean of the School of Medicine. Before joining UCSF in 2011, she was vice dean for education for the at Ohio State University College of Medicine and associate vice president for health sciences education for OSU’s Office of Health Sciences. Dr. Lucey earned her medical degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at UCSF.
